    Unanswered: dbisql batch files

    Does DBISQL allow a series of commands? If so how, I've been able to execute just one command per batch file

    NT4.0 ASA6

    also any suggestions on how to pass a date as a command line parameter?
    Thanks

    catch you date as any other batch parameter (%1), or using environment variables

    E.g.
    Code:
    call MyScript.bat 12.4.2004
    Inside myScript.bat:
    Code:
    @echo=off
    echo exec myProc @myDate = '%1' > script.sql
    echo go >> script.sql

    isql -Usa -Pxxx -SASE -D MyDB -i script.sql -o outputfile.out
    del script.sql

    If you put semicolons (';') at the end of each command, you should be able to execute consecutive commands in isql scripts.
