    Exclamation Unanswered: Converting from postgresql

    Hi

we are currently think about converting our databases from postgresql to Oracle or DB2.

I know that triggers will have to changed a little but the big question is does Oracle or DB2 support inherited tables as our current system makes extensive use inherited tables and some use of database array's

    Thanks for the help

    OK, I give up.
Exactly what is an "inherited table"?
    Does it involve object orientation?

    >its a way to pass down field definitions to subtables,
    What a sub-table?
Why do you want to "reduce some foreign keys"? Are they overweight?
AFAIK, Oracle doesn't do what you would like it to do.
I suggest you look into an XMLDB written in Java.
