    Use the HOST built-in to call whatever OS command does that.

    I don't know - that's an OS issue, not a Developer issue. All Developer has to do is the HOST command, with whatever OS command sends messages. Basically, you need to find out how to send a message from the OS prompt, and then use that syntax within the HOST command.

    I know you don't. And nor do I. This is a Windows 2000 question, not an Oracle question, so try posting it in a Windows 2000 forum - without mentioning Oracle or Developer, as these are irrelevant.

    When you get the answer to your Windows 2000 problem, it will be easy to use it in Developer. Suppose the answer is to use this command:
    Code:
    sendamessage -to bill -at 123.45.67.89 "Hello Bill"
    (It isn't, just suppose!)
    Then in your Developer trigger you would do this:
    Code:
    begin
      host('sendamessage -to bill -at 123.45.67.89 "Hello Bill"');
    end;
