Unanswered: changing recordsource form => corrupt database?

In another forum I read an article that stated that programatically changing the recordsource of a form causes a database to be corrupt. Can anyone confirm that?

On the other hand the user indicates that there's only one corrupt record in the database. And that happens to be a record which was edited simultanously by 2 users. Is it more likely that this is the cause of the corrupt state of the database?

I regularly programatically change the ControlSource and RecordSource of forms within my databases, and have never experienced this problem, or any other problems.
