Wink Unanswered: for help:how to install oracle9i/client for solaris???

    hi all:
I had down "instantclient-basic-solaris64-10.1.0.2" package from oracle.com. I expand it and found it contained the files as below:
    class12.jar
    libclntsh.so.10.1
    libnnz10.so
    libocci.so.10.1
    libociei.so
    libocijdbc10.so
    ojdbc14.jar
My computer is SUN fire480 and installed the Solaris 8 OS, how can I install the oracle client package onto my computer?
    Best Regarding.

a simple google search supplied the link that you downloaded that from
and at the bottom were the install instructions.
    link:
    Code:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/oci/instantclient/instantclient.html
    Installation Steps:

    1. Download the appropriate Instant Client packages for your platform. All installations REQUIRE the Basic package.

    2. Unzip the packages into a single directory such as "instantclient".
    3. Set the library loading path in your environment to the directory in Step 2 ("instantclient"). On many UNIX platforms, LD_LIBRARY_PATH is the appropriate environment variable. On Windows, PATH should be used.

    4. Start your application and enjoy.
