I am working on an Access App using linked tables that point to SQL Server 2000 tables. There are some queries used in the app that when executed force a table lock on the SQL 2k tables. Basically no one else can use the app when its these tables are locked. I am attempting to have some queries ignore this table lock but cannot find a feature in Access that resembles the NOLOCK table hint used in SQL Server. Any ideas on how to get around the lock?
