    Unanswered: Weird Data Entry Issue

I have a table that contains a field called "Position" - some positions may be HHA, Homemaker, HR Manager, etc...

One position is CNA - when I try to type this in, Access changes it to CAN.

I created a new table, and even a new database, and tried it and the same thing happens. I looked around and could not find any settings, etc that wouldmake this happen.

    Any ideas are appreciated.

    I am using Access 2000

Access is dyslexic ... But seriously, I believe that Access has a default autocorrect ... For some reason it likes to change "Woodmansee" to "Woodbines" automatically also ...
Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...

    Hi abinboston,

Try going to Options in the MenuBar, click on the GeneralTab, then look for the CheckBox that says"Perform Name Autocorrect" and UNCHECK that baby. That should do it for ya. Hope so.

have a nice day and I'm outta here....

    bye all
    Bud
