    Solution

    Just create the field in a query as below.

    Join:[tblTest]![Field1] & [tblTest]![Field2]

    [tblTest]![Field1] = Text

    [tblTest]![Field2] = Number

    This works for me.

    Cheers

    Concatenate a value

    For example I write this code but It isn't the best solution

    Private Sub cmbTypeOfLan_AfterUpdate()
    Me.Refresh
    Dim NextIDNo
    Dim proximo

    If Me.cmbTypeOfLan.Value = "Business" Then

    NextIDNo = Nz(Dmax("IDNo", "BY Character-Data Entry"), 0)
    proximo = NextIDNo + 1
    Me.txtIDNo.Value = "B" & proximo
    end if
    end sub
