Unanswered: How to find database name

In UDB 8.1 or 7.2 on AIX,
I can type "db2 list db directory" to find the database name under the instance.

However If I am connecting from Oracle to DB2, How do I confirm the database name.?

In UDB for OS/390 they used to have sysibm.sysdatabases table which will provide the solution..

That table is not there on UDB for AIX,Windows etc...

The Oracle Users are trying to confirm that they are connecting to the right database....

    thanks in advance...

    sathyaram_s,
Maybe I wasnt clear in my question.

How can the Oracle Users run "db2 get connection state" from SQLPLUS ?

If I am connecting from Oracle to DB2, How do I confirm the DB2 database name from Oracle SQLPLUS ?
