    Hi,

What is the sybase ASE 12.5 equivalent datatype for ntext in SQL Server ?

    Please advise.

    Thanks,

    Unhappy A guess

Taking a guess, I would say they are nchar(n) or nvarchar(n).

    In pre-12.5, char/varchar store max 255 characters.

    In 12.5, char/varchar can store > 255, depending on ASE's page size.

There're also two data types used for storing Blobs: text and image.

    Hope this helps.
