What version of Oracle, What OS ???
Explain a little about the DATABASE and how the data is accessed and
updated ... How many disk drives (disk drive speed is crucial!!)... If you
have large tables that you can logically partition, then spread them out...
Have indexes on different drives than the data ... What will be the "HOT"
tables, how they are accessed and manipulated ...

Bottom line ... There are MANY questions and different answers to this
depending on what the database is (data warehouse, OLAP, etc ...)...

Well, what have your benchmarks and test-cases show when you duplicate a 300-user environment?

Post a statspack report of a 15 minute benchmark scenario so we can see what your system is doing.
