    Unanswered: Qwick QWery Problem

    Im creating a Command Button on a Form that displays data from a table(Name,Address,State,number) etc what do i need to do for the user to get a prompt so in the name field he can type a name and recive all the results corresponding to that persons name. and not everyones name

    In SQL

    SELECT tblName.Name, tblName.Address, tblName.State, tblName.Number
    FROM tblName
    WHERE (((tblName.Name) Like "*" & [Enter Name Here?] & "*"));
    This is a Parameter Query, ive put tblName as the Name of your Table

    do i make a command button and put that code in the onclick area?
    or make a query based on that SQL code?

    ill give it a crack some more information would be helpful as im not very good with access. I know MS Word pretty well though

    I think i have it...
    I made a Query
    in Critera i put
    Like "*" & [Search by word:] & "*"

    Yeah that will work, Your form will ask the question before it loads up,
    all i put down was the SQL Equivalent of what you said
