Unanswered: Splitting large table into smaller ones

    Dear All

There are more than 25,000 records in my database. Gradual developments were made over the time and now I have a bit of a mess.

First of all apart from other tables there is a huge table containing 64 fields. I have gone through the database analyse utility that suggested to put some data into smaller tables. I have not accepted the wizard's suggested solution because I am afraid of loosing data.

Can somebody advice me how can I make smaller table manually from a large table without loosing any link or data and users would still be able to input data and finally data can be retrieved through queries.

    In that table,

There are few fields where the information is repeated number of times.
Then there are fields where it is either Pass or Fail
Then there are fields where only sometimes user puts information in
    All the records are unique

I hope I have explained my question properly.

    Thanks in advance

Not nearly enough information. If information is being repeated alot, then it should be a seperate table. How that works is going to depend on your specific structure.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.
