Unanswered: Users and Privileges for database.

I use PostgreSQL 8.0 Beta1 for Windows on my Win2000. I already define and create all necessary thing for my database (included Group-Username-Password for security). I found some problem on my real use. I try to check Username, Password and Privileges from PostgreSQL but I don't know that, How can I do. I cannot found any table that contain user detail.

How can I do? Could anybody explain me?

Use PGadminIII (its a must have i think).

For the users table: select * from pg_shadow

pg_shadow is the table that stores all the users that are allowed to make a connection to your db.

OK, I get all detail about user acount now. However I found nothing about their Privileges and Group. Is it possible to collect them? Or Is it possible to check Privileges from table (just on that table detail)?

As ill need it soon myself as well, i looked it up.

The SQL standard allows setting privileges for individual columns within a table:

    GRANT privileges
    ON table [ ( column [, ...] ) ] [, ...]
    TO { PUBLIC | username [, ...] } [ WITH GRANT OPTION ]
    for more information, check: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/7.4/s...sql-grant.html

Thank you for your information. I will try it but I think it's work.
