    Unanswered: Force to select Yes/No

I need an idea on how to force a user to select Yes/No

The field is bounded to a YES/NO data type field.

By default nothing should be selected, and the user shouldn't be
able to save the record until an option is selected.

A check box is probably not good, because if you don’t check the box, it stays unchecked which means “False”

    Thanks
    Tom

Set required=yes at the table level.

This doesn’t force to select an option. Because the option is selected by default, as NO.

    Thanks

    Interesting...

I tried this out and it worked for me:

    1. Set the field to Long Integer
    2. Validation set to: = 0 Or =-1
    3. No Default
    4. Required: Yes

Then in the form, used an Option Group (went through the wizard to set labels, values, no default, etc.)

Maybe that's a solution for you.
