Unanswered: db2WSE install on Linux (slackware) problem
I was more or less able to install db2WSE on Linux (slackware) with kernel 2.4.26.
Main problem was that rpm failed (since the OS install does not use rpm)
but I was able to circumvent this by manually executing "rpm --nodeps".
The final installation command /opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/adm/db2licm -a ./db2/license/db2wse.lic
passed successfully, with return message DBI1402I License added successfully.
But when I log on as db2inst1 and run the command /opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/bin/db2
the return message is SQL10007N Message "-1390" could not be retrieved. Reason code: "1".
What could be the reason, and how could I possibly get around this?
