Question Unanswered: Help with totals calculation on a form

    Hi all,

I have posted a small database that calculates Board Feet which is measurements used in the lumber industry. I have everything worked out in the database EXCEPT, where I have a TextBox to calculate the Total of all the above selections I don't get it. This is something I have done many times on other forms, but have no clue why it's not working right now. Could someone take a look at it for me and fix it and repost for me.

    thanks in advance,
    Bud

Stick the following in your sum box:

    =Sum(Round(([NTRough]*[QWidth]*[QLength]/12)*[Pcs],0))

I'm guessing that Access wants to add up only fields that are presnt in your underlying table. So I guess Access doesn't add up Form references.

I guess if you change your SQL statement to include a calculated field for TotalBDFT that would also do the trick.

I've used the guess word a lot here

    Chris,

Thanks a lot for your help. That did the trick. For some reason I had that expression but was incorrectly placing it in the Form and not the query. All is fine now.

    have a nice day,
    BUD
