    Unanswered: Currency Decimal Places

I set a field to be of Type Currency
    - Field Size: Decimal
    - Decimal Places: 2

Now in the actual DB if I type in "500.00", or "500" it will store as "$500.00", which is what I want.

However if I try and use cents, it always removes them and just puts .00, not even rounding up or down. So "500.50" saves as "$500.00". What's going on, is this by design?

Also in a VB App, how can I make sure the data being sent over to the DB is infact numerical. I tried converting the string with CInt but it always complains about the conversion.

    Hi HighD

Try setting your field as Currency, format/Currency, DecimalPlaces/Auto
OR set your field as Number, Size/Double, Format/Currency, DecimalPlaces/Auto
Either of those should set your field right for you.

    have a nice one,
    Bud
