    My env: Win200,ORACLE 9.2.0.1
    There is two partitition for Oracle:
    Oracle home is on E: partitition ( 5 GB)
    We want to backup database on F: partitition (43 GB)
    But,any of command
    ALLOCATE CHANNEL t1 TYPE DISK FORMAT 'F:\BACKUP\BACKUP_%d_%u_%p_%c';
    and
    backup database format = 'F:\BACKUP\BACKUP_%d_%u_%p_%c' plus archivelog format = 'F:\BACKUP\ARCH_%d_%T_%t_%s' DELETE ALL INPUT;
    produce backup on E: partitition.
    What we are doing wrong?

    Why not configure it?
    CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE DISK FORMAT 'F:\backup\';

    PHP Code:
    In this exampleyou want to back up to two different disks because not enough space exists on a single diskSoyou do the following:

    CONFIGURE DEFAULT DEVICE TYPE TO disk;           # backup goes to disk
    CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE sbt PARALELLISM 2;         # two channels used in in parallel
    CONFIGURE CHANNEL 1 DEVICE TYPE DISK FORMAT '/disk1/%U' # first channel goes to disk1
    CONFIGURE CHANNEL 2 DEVICE TYPE DISK FORMAT '/disk2/%U' # second channel goes to disk2
    BACKUP DATABASE# backup - first channel goes to disk1 and second to disk2
