Question Unanswered: Oracle 9i iAS: Infrastructure (PB Installation)

    Hello,

Along the installation process of Oracle 9i iAS Infrastructure, I get the following message:
    -----
Error in invoking target install of makefile
    /u01/app/oracle_linux/product_iAS/sqlplus/lib/ins_sqlplus.mk

    (help) (retry) (ignore) (cancel)

    ---
Can I ignore this message and continue the installation ?
How can I resolve this issue ?

    PT

fsck the disk & start again.
When installing 9iAS always accept EVERY default choice, and you might end up with a working Infrastructure installation.
    P.S.
Make sure that all system prerequisites are met before starting the install.
I've literally done dozens of 9iAS R2 installs.
They only fail because of PEBKAC.
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.

    Unhappy fsck PB

    Hello,

Typing fsck, this is the output that I get:
    -----
    [root@Linux2005 etc]# fsck
    fsck 1.32 (09-Nov-2002)
    e2fsck 1.32 (09-Nov-2002)
    /dev/hda2 is mounted.

WARNING!!! Running e2fsck on a mounted filesystem may cause
    SEVERE filesystem damage.

Do you really want to continue (y/n)? no

    check aborted.
    e2fsck 1.32 (09-Nov-2002)
    /dev/hda1 is mounted.

I had to abort fsck. Someone told me to remove the emtab file from /etc.
    Any ideas ?
