Unanswered: Adding Input Mask to column programattically

Does anyone know how to add an input mask to a Access database field using an ALTER TABLE statement or using VBA?

    Thanks!

Yes sure you can do it via VBA. e.g for a text field Phone you can programatically set it input mask as

    Forms!Customers!Telephone.InputMask = "(###) ###-####"

    Thanks for the quick response!

That's not exactly what I meant. I'm curious if I can change the definitition of the field in the table, not where it is referenced on forms.

    Does that make sense?

I think you can't do that using alter table command for an access database. You can just add, delete or create indexes or to some extent modify the size of the some fileds but not change the type using this.
