i have some pb with the trio apache 2.0.50, php5 and SASA9 :
Symptomes >> apache starts ( with the new php.ini config ) therefore my "php startup" doesn't want to find the dll ( php_sybase_ct ) even if it is in the correct directory, finally writes the famous "unable to load dynamic library "directory" , specificated module is not foundable" .
What i tried with no success >>
* changed directory ( with no space, no special case )
* i have also opened the dll and delete some lines and the message at starting changed, i deduced of it that "php" have found the dll in the correct directory but have been "amazed" by my "hazardous" modifications.
Other way >> i think ASA needs his "client library" perhaps i don't know at all about the internal mechanism of ASA ... This is why i ask some help today
My questions >>
*How should the client library be installed with php ( 5 or other ) ?
*If my "Other way" conclusion is far from the right solution, what is the solution ?
PS: sorry for my poor english spoken ( in this case written ) ...
thanks u willy for 'fast answering' and information complement
( i was 'furious' not to pass a simple connection with a db ),then i tried to test an odbc connection with no success at first time...
But i 'rapidly' understood my error and have established connection ( in the middle of the night ) , i give here my solution :
OS 'n' config details >> XP Pro PHP5 Apache2 ASA9 :
The 'simple' code >>
// After config the odbc module , tell to php
// what are the connections variables
$driver='Adaptive Server Anywhere 9.0'; //ODBC driver
$db='db_name.db'; //'.db' not necessary
// then put them in the 'connection string'
//be carefull >> no spaces are allowed in this string
