    Question Unanswered: Database Synchronization

    Hi all,

I have a query about database synchronization.
We have two completely different Oracle database on different servers. We need to synchronize the data between two tables on these servers.
That is, both databases will have identical tables with identical data and when the data at one end is updated, it should dynamically be reflected at the other end.
I wonder what will be a good approach to do it. Can we do it using views? (and trigger to insert in the table when insert is called on the view)... Is it possible to have these views on different databases on different servers?
Any help will indeed be greatly appreciated.....

    Regards,
    Yogesh

Take a look at Materialized views (snapshots). This should do what you want.

    Another potential is:

Snapshot replication if you are using Standard Edition
Multimaster replication if you have EE.

    This is thru dblinks...
