I am just learning how to set up database security. I have gone through the preliminary steps, have set up a group with users....all of that.
What I would like is that each time a User opens up the database, they need to enter a password (and not just a name). I have a password set up for Owner...how do I get passwords set up for each user? I set up the password for owner in Tools, Security, User and Group Accounts. I thought that I should be able to assign passwords here for each user...but it isn't working. How do I assign a password to each user?
After sending this post, I tried one other thing. I signed on as one of my users, then went to Tools, Security, User and Group Accounts...and was able to assign passwords. That did it! I thought I had to do this signed on as owner, but I guess not.
