    Unanswered: Listener internal error

I have a problem starting the Listener.
I thing this is something related with the DBA.

successfully installed the Personal Oracle, configured the Service name and the Listener.

From Net8 Config- Connect to .... Test is failed.

Errors out when logging to the db, with user/pwd@servicename.

When starting the listener explicitly from the AdministrativeTools-Services, it gives a message

Couldn't start the Listener service on local computer. The service didn't return an error. This could be an internal windows error or an internal service error. If the persists, contact your sys admin."

Help me to resolving this problem.

As an Administrator, look at the system event-log.

As Elmer Fudd would say, "there is something vewy, vewy skewewy here..." and Oracle really can't tell what it is. The service obviously just "crashed." The event-log should contain the error-message.
