I have a report and I need to hide and adjust the size of the page footer based on how much information is on the page. I have to use a page footer because the paper it is being printed on is perforated at the bottom.
When there is more than one page of information I shrink the page footer and hide it so the detail can use use all of the page. On the last page for that detail the page footer is restored to its original height and made visible again. I can get this to work fine except for the first page. The height of the page footer gets adjusted, but the detail doesn't use the available space. It goes to where the original height of the footer would be and then the rest of the page is blank. This isn't the end of the world, but I am wondering why only the first page acts like this? I can make it work by adjusting the properties of the page footer in design view, but only if I know whether the first detail will reside on one or multiple pages.

Thanks for any help. Let me know if you anymore info.
