    Unanswered: New to Oracle, have a question...

    We are using Oracle 9i, and have a test db we set up with alot of dummy data. What is the easiest way to clean all the dummy data out of our database?

    drop user newbie cascade;
    You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
    The average person thinks he's above average!
    For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.

    The command will drop user NEWBIE and all objects owned by him.
    If you want to keep the tables & just eliminate the data then
    TRUNCATE TABLE <TABLE_NAME1>;
    TRUNCATE TABLE <TABLE_NAME2>;
    ETC.
