    Unanswered: Simple Percentage Query Question

I need to work out a simple percentage query. I have a list of say 10 people who come from different towns eg 4 people from Town_One and 6 from Town_Two. So 40% come from Town_One and 60% come from Town_Two

How can I represent this in a query in Access?

    Cheers

    Tom

Where do you need this number?

    In a form?

You could use DSum / DCount to get your number in either a query or a form. In a report listing detail, you could create textboxes containing the total number of towns in the report footer, and reference this textbox to perform percentage calculations throughout the report.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

    Query Percentages

    Try This

    Fields In Table

    Name Town
    Fred 1
    Will 1
    Bert 2

    Query

    [name] [town] Total:[town] Percent:[name]/[total:]
    Count Group By Count

    This Should Work
