Question Unanswered: Prevent deleting values in a Combo Box

Maybe a silly question, but how can I prevent deleting values in a Combo Box and still be able to use the Combo Box to look up values in a table?
Playing with "Enabled" and "Locked" doesn't help at all.

    Thanks for any proposals

    Sincerely

What do you mean, how do you prevent the deletion of a value from the recordsource of a combo box, or the "displayed" value in a combo?

The displayed value. The combo box is not bound.

    Thumbs down

    Nope, already tryed this.
This is OK if I try to write a text into the combo box. But try to press "Delete" or even press the space bar.

    Any other ideas ?

set a default value, on the after change event check for a null value. if there is one set it back to the default.

    Thumbs up :-)

    Yeah !
That did the job. I stored the value in the combo box's tag.

    Thanks a lot "TerpInMD"

set limit to list to Yes and enter (Is Not Null) into Validation Rule. that will stop the user leaving your combobox empty. you might want to also enter an infomative text to Validation Text section, so user won't get confused.
    ghozy.
