I have set up a merge-able document in word. When I merge the document, formating gets all screwy. In the table (in Access), the number 1.42, when it is merged into word, in become 1.41999999999. Help!
Create a query to format the fields the way you would like.

You have to do the formatting in the Word document. In the help look under Format Merged Data and Field Codes.
In the Word help, not Access.
I see nothing in word help about this issue.
The number in the table is typed in as 1.42. Why would Word merge it as 1.4199999999?
