Unanswered: change date format in excel

I just found a problem. When i run a query in access, after i got result, i sent to by attachment (that is excel file). After i compare the two files, i found there a different format in date. For example, in the query result the date is like "10/1/2004, but in the excel it changed to 1-Oct-04. Why, how can i change back? Thanks

sorry, didn't see you are sending it as attahcment. I'm not sure if there is anything you can do about that. unless you edit the excel attachment with COM functions before sending. which I don't have too much practice with it unfortunately.

i didn't edit anything for the attachment, when i run the query, i just click the file -> send to (Mail recipient (as attachment)), then i select Microsfot excel 97-2002, then send it. After i opened the attached file, all the date were changed to different formate
