    Question Unanswered: Subtracting the values of two text boxes help...

    Ok, I have a series of text boxes that get populated when a user makes a selection from a combo box.

    The numeric data will then be used in a complex formula to gain a specific result, however before that can happen, there are a couple of values that need to be calculated prior to the equation being processed.

    What i need to do is to get a text box to display the answer of a simple subtraction sum.

    i.e. WL-OSB and WR-OSB.

    What im not sure on though is how to structure this equation in access to come up with the correct answer.

    I would be grateful for any help that can be provided with this problem.

    sure.

    =[Forms]![front_wheel_build]![wl].[Value]-[Forms]![front_wheel_build]![OSB].[Value]
    and
    =[Forms]![front_wheel_build]![wr].[Value]-[Forms]![front_wheel_build]![OSB].[Value]

    Type these into the text box to replace the Unbound text.

    Im now working on getting access to calculate the following excel formula:

    =SQRT((dL/2*SIN(2*PI()*Cross/(N/2)))^2+(ERD/2-((dL/2)*COS(2*PI()*Cross/(N/2))))^2+WL_Effective^2)-S/2

    Wish I could help you out but I'm a newbie but will likely make use of your solution.

    Thanks.
