Unanswered: Installing SQL server 2000 on xp machine

Is it possible to install sql server enterprise edition on an xp machine (home or professional)? I tried both (w/sp2) and it said it can only be run as a client.

You can install Personal, Developer, and MSDE only.

You can install ent on a client but you wont get the rdbms only the tools.
this is so you wont have to buy another copy of the media to administer your sql servers.
you will install the client process on your xp pc and then register your production servers with your client tools.

as rdjabarov said so cryptically. you can however if you want to practice with a rdbms locally, you can load the professional edition or the developer edition. and sql cute (MSDE)
i preferr the dev. edition because it is much cheaper.

I prefer the developer edition because it's cheaper
