    Unanswered: File's size limitation.

When doing export, sometime the dump (.dmp) file's size is bigger than 2GB allowed by OS. Is there anyway we can specify the size for export file (.dmp) (so when it reaches 2GB limitation, new file will be created.) ?

From Oracle8i, the export utility supports multiple output files. This feature enables large exports to be divided into files whose sizes will not exceed any operating system limits (FILESIZE= parameter). When importing from multi-file export you must provide the same filenames in the same sequence in the FILE= parameter. Look at this example:

    exp SCOTT/TIGER FILE=D:\F1.dmp,E:\F2.dmp FILESIZE=10m

It depends on your version, but if you are on a unix machine, there is a trick that will work. see the following link.

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
