Unanswered: Question: user permissions vary when logging in overseas
I have built a MS Access 2002 database with user and group permissions set up. When I log in as "Account_A" from my PC or another PC in my office (US), the user and group permissions are fine.
When a colleague logs in overseas (Italy), he uses "Account_A" but is unable to perform the functions required for "Account_A"
What do I need to look for to figure out what is wrong here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
what are those functions that Account_A can't perform?
Account_A is supposed to be able to add new records, e.g., have both insert data and write data access to the tables. But my colleague cannot do this. He can open the form that is used for the table, but the Insert, New Record function is not enabled.
maybe he doesn't have write/modify/delete permissions to the network drive/folder?
That seems to have been the problem. Thanks!
