Question Unanswered: Deleted records show as #error in XP

I have a browse screen that opens the current record on the double click event.

That form has an option to delete the displayed record and close the form which effectively returnes you to the browse screen where you left off.

In access 97, this worked fine, the deleted record displayed as "#deleted".

After conversion to XP, it now displays "#error" and when a new record is selected, cascading errors lock up the app.

I could close the browse screen before opening opening the current record and then re-open it when done. But then the client would lose his position in the record set.

    any ideas?

I don't think you can delete a record while the record is open/locked.
You can do it at the table level...or perform the actual "deletion" as they move to the next record.
(of course I could be wrong--there may be a way to do it...but without knowing more details, it could be the wrong answer.)
