    Unanswered: Informix 7.30 Sessions

    I have the following question:

I must log every user entering end exiting the server. The problem is that I must log not only the existance of the user, but the time when he logs in and the time when he logs out. I know how to extract the data when the session is started from the sysmaster base, but I cant catch the time. Please you if have any ideas, answer.

    a little more info?
is this a unix or the ODBC session?

if unix, you can have the .profile do something of it is an ODBC session
you can do a little stored procedure or a trigger on a login table or something

    Hope this helps

Whell It is a Micro$oft Windows NT4 machine, no matter how strange it looks.
And I have to Log every user that logs in and out of the informix server, using a specific program. In whitch time that happens, how long it has been there, when it has left.
The real problem is that I know how to make it via program (I can write this program), but I do not whant to write a program that compares two states - current and previous. I wander if there is a way to detect the time that user logs in and logs out, using the sysmaster database.
