Unanswered: New Memory installed on server....

Our systems admin installed more memory on our Sun Solaris Server and I now have 7 more gigs of memory to add.
Other than the sga_max and db_cache_size, what other parameters do I need to change. Also, how do I calculate how much to add?

If youve got extra memory these are the parameters I would change. You should also run some metrics before and after to see what quantitative differences it makes as this will help you tune your database

    sga_max_size
    pga_aggregate_target
    shared_pool_size
    large_pool_size
    java_pool_size

    db_cache_size
    db_keep_cache_size
    db_recycle_cache_size

I would suggest you look up the above parameters in google or the oracle manuals for help on how to set them and anay other action you need to take (i.e. assign tables and indexes to keep or recycle pools). You can also use the v$db_cache_advice, v$pga_target_advice etc views to help choose an appropriate figure.
