I am using Excel to show data in an Access table. It gave error: "error 3228 SELECTED COLLATING SEQUENCE NOT SUPPORTED BY OPERATING SYSTEM"
The debug highlighted the query:
"select distinct Abbr from Arrest_Dispo order by Abbr"
This query works, if I excute it in Access. But in Excel, It does not work until I use "*" instead of "Abbr". It does not allow me to specify columns in the select statement.
The operating system is MS Windows XP
The MS Office is 2003
I have tried some solutions to "error 2003" on web, but failed to make it work.
Any one knows what happened?
Here is the VB code. The 5th line was highlighted when I click the debug button.
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Dim db As Database
Dim rm As Recordset
Set db = OpenDatabase(ThisWorkbook.Path + "\RQI_SDCorp_Research.mdb") Set rm = db.OpenRecordset("select distinct Abbr from Arrest_Dispo order by Abbr")
Do Until rm.EOF
