I’ll start by describing the scenario and then what went wrong. Two users connect to an Access database via front ends located on their local machines. The back end is on a network drive each user is mapped to. Each user is updating a separate transaction related to separate records. When one person makes a change to one transaction total, the same change was made on both transactions. The form used is tied to a specific transaction by its ID and each transaction is tied to a specific record by ID. I can’t think of any way, outside of user error, that would allow the updating of one transaction effect both open records. Is there possibly something I’m missing that could allow for this to happen? It’s never happened before and I’m sure we’ve had multiple users updating multiple transactions in the past. I know this is a fairly general post but any assistance would be wonderful. Thanks.
