Unanswered: Help - startup and Shutdown Scripts

    Hello,

I am a new dba. I have an Oracel 9.2.0.1.0 Database with 5 instances running on an HP 9000 series with Unix version 11.11. Currently there are no startup and shutdown scripts configured so that the database will startup after an OS shutdown etc. Can someone please help me with a script for the version of Oracel and Unix that I have.

    Thank you.

do a search in this forum on dbstart or dbshut.
there has been extensive coverage regarding this procedure.

in summary you should edit those scripts in $ORACLE_HOME/bin in order
for them to work properly (they don't work out of the box). You would then need to create links to call those scripts under the correct runtime environment.
