Unanswered: Converting numeric to time format

I have two fields. One is a numeric field such as 48 (for 48 hours)
the other is a time field such as 4:30. I am trying to sum up the
2 fields in a time format such as 52 hours and 30 minutes. Is there
anyway to do this in excel. I need the final result to be a total of hours.

    Thanks,

    Morning dt00,

Though I reside on the Access side of things I sometimes poke around in Excel. Know just enough to be kinda dangerous but here goes. Look at my attachment I posted here at a spreadsheet I created to keep track of my time for some work. When you see the Gray and Yellow shaded areas look behind the scenes at Format and then Cells. Note how I have the cells set up. At first I had them as just strictly time, but couldn't get it to work that way, though I have seen it actually work that way. But this was my workaround and it does add the time up correctly.

Hope this helps you out some...
    have a nice one,
    Bud

Thanks for the help on that. I got it figured out finally. But now I have another problem.

I have a date/time such as 10/1/2004 15:00. I need to find the difference between the time only on the date/time to 17:00 without a date. I have input this with many different time formats and all I get is ######## for an
answer. The problem seems to stem from having one cell with a date/time (even though I have it formated as time only) and having a cell that I have formated as time with only 17:00 in it and no date. Any suggestions?
