    Unanswered: date/time comparison in query

I'm trying to archive entries in a table. all entries except the newest one will be move to a table called "archive".

my problem is the date/time comparison doesn't work. here's what I used in that field:
    < [qryLatest]![MaxOfDateTaken]

so I already have a query, qryLatest, returning all the newest entry. I'm trying to compare that date/time with the other ones, but the query doesn't return anything. the strange thing is if I use <=, it returns the corret entries.

any help would be appreciated. or if you have a better idea to do what I need, that would be great, too.

So, I used the Max function to get the MaxOfDateTaken. I need the query to give me everything except the max. what I was trying to do above is get any entry that smaller than the max. any idea?
