    Unanswered: Timing Queries

    Anyone know how can I time a query in ORACLE?

    You know something like:

    SELECT ITEM FROM TABLE_X

    "Query took 3.42 seconds"

    In SQL Plus you can use:
    Code:
    SQL> set timing on

    SQL> select count(*) from all_objects;

      COUNT(*)
    ----------
         48229

     real: 26141
    The number is the time in milliseconds, so this query took 26.141 seconds.
