    Unanswered: MSSQL Enterprise Manager

I have mssql installed, but I cannot find the Enterprise manager, I installed from the MSDE download which I am told should contain the Enterprise Manager. Any direction would be appreciated.

I don't know of any version of MSDE that includes SQL Enterprise Manager.

Thumbs up MSDE does not have Enterprise Manager

MSDE is a free version of SQL Server. It is designed to run in the background, supporting transactional desktop applications, MSDE 2000 does not have its own user interface (UI) or tools. Users interact with MSDE 2000 through the application in which it is embedded.

So u cannot find Enterprise Manager or Query Analyser in MSDE.

If u really want to use only MSDE then vale software has a MSDE Manager which u can use to manger MSDE. For more information go to http://www.valesoftware.com/

BTW, i hav'nt tested or used MSDE Manager. So pls read the review before using it....

    With regards

    Smile Heartfelt thanks

Thank you Sudar for your prompt and helpful response: I have spent many hours looking for this damned thing, as I have some sort of glich in the password section which I haven't been able to work around in the services manager.
