    Dear freinds,

We have access database of 450 MB.Now when I am trying to open the database it gives following error.I can not even open the databse. The database was working properly till yesterday

"Error: "C:\Document and Settings\ntserver.cec\desktop\disdatabase.mdb is not an index in this table.Look in the index collection of TableDef object to determine the valid index name."

After giving this error programme is coming out from access. We have startup form.

It sounds like the allocation table may have become corrupt.

Try opening a new database and importing all tables queries etc into the new database. Then try running from there...

Try to repair the database OUTSIDE of it ... How? Run access "naked" (with no db selected) and run the compact & repair and select your DB ...
Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...
