    Red face Unanswered: Select Distinct

I am trying to select only distinct names from a rather simple access database using Crystal 9. I am having trouble with the sql statement

This is what Crystal Help says to do:
    SELECT DISTINCT
    TABLEA.'CUSTNAME',
    TABLEA.'STATE'

    but it doesn't work.

Can anyone help me out with a correct statement?

    Thanks --- Ladiefish

    Database Menu...

    Hi

I use CR v 8.5 but it's the same. To get this to work, on the menu bar go:

    Database\Select Distinct Records.

Hi Yanina. Assuming that version 10 is no different, on the menu bar in Crystal Reports select the following:

    Database, then
    Select Distinct Records

That should do it. If you can't find 'Select Distinct Records' on the menu bar then try hitting F1 or using Help on the menu bar and type in Select Distinct Records and it should say where on the menu bar to find this option. Otherwise, just try looking through the menu bar and expanding selections to find it.

    Good luck!

    Andy
