    Question Unanswered: RMAN Help

I am trying to duplicate an oracle 9i database from Server A to Server B using RMAN but i get the following errors

ORA-19505: failed to identify file "J:\RMAN\B_03G3IUG3_1_1"
    ORA-27041: unable to open file
    OSD-04002: unable to open file
O/S-Error: (OS 3) The system cannot find the path specified.

I am running RMAN from server B,
The file does exist on Server A,

Do i need to copy the file to server B?
What do these errors really mean?

    please help.

When using rman to duplicate the database you must have the following.

    1. The directory structure (including the drive letter seen from both machines, primary [backed up] and secondary [target/auxiliary]) MUST be the same
    2. Connectivity between primary and secondary.

To simply anwer your question, if you backed up the data on drive J: (machine A) you must map the same disk (with same structure) to your machine B.
