I'm lazy, so I would usually have an ftp script and call it from a bat file, something like...

    ftpIt.bat
    -------
    ftp -s:ftpScript.txt

    ftpScript.txt
    ------------
    open yourRemoteServerName
    user
    password
    cd /your/remote/directory
    prompt
    get yourRemoteFile
    quit

How do i run a script on unix server itself (myscript)

beside doing ftp and getting the output of that file (myscript)

Your answer will just get the file via ftp

I also have to run a script on unix box ???
