Unanswered: Stop Access auto SQL format?

    Hey All,

I have a couple of complex queries that contain multiple select statements, i.e.
    Code:
SELECT data FROM tab1, (SELECT data FROM some_tab) tab2
and access likes to transform the open parens to open brackets and adds a period sometimes to the end like so:
    Code:
SELECT data FROM tab1, [SELECT data FROM some_tab]. tab2
How do I stop this... other than using this query via VBA and ADODB?

    Thanks all,
    -Warren

Oh... and I also know that I can create those sub-queries as seperate queries and call those, i.e.,

    Code:
    SELECT * FROM tab1, queryOldSub tab2
